Personalized OT Services
JFB/Myofascial Release
John F. Barnes Myofascial Release is a gentle, hands-on approach that uses sustained pressure and stretching to address restrictions within the fascial system. It helps to reduce pain and tension, improve mobility, promote relaxation, and support more comfortable participation in daily activities.
Shoulder, Elbow, Wrist and Hand OT or consultation
Occupational therapy for the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand helps reduce pain, improve movement and strength, and make everyday activities easier. Individualized treatment or consultation may include exercises, joint protection education, and guidance to support recovery and comfortable function.
Screening and Wellness Session
Personalized occupational therapy screenings help identify concerns related to pain, mobility, hand and upper-extremity function, stress, and participation in daily activities. Wellness services integrate professional guidance, John F. Barnes Myofascial Release, and mind-body awareness to promote relaxation, comfortable movement, and overall well-being.
Stress Management /Transformative Coaching
You’re not alone—an estimated 1 in 5 U.S. adults experiences an anxiety disorder, highlighting how common these challenges are. Stress and anxiety can contribute to muscle tension and amplify pain, affecting your comfort and daily life.
Through supportive conversation grounded in the Three Principles paradigm, transformative coaching explores how your moment-to-moment experience is created. This understanding invites fresh perspectives, greater clarity, and a deeper connection to your innate resilience and well-being.
Discover a new understanding of yourself and the possibility of greater ease.

Ophelia Abrahams, OTR/L, CHT
Occupational Therapist | Certified Hand Therapist | Myofascial Release Practitioner
Ophelia Abrahams is an Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist with nearly 30 years of experience treating orthopedic, musculoskeletal, and neurological conditions. Her extensive background in upper-extremity rehabilitation has given her a deep understanding of how pain, injury, scar tissue, and movement restrictions can affect not only one area of the body, but overall function and everyday life. She has also shared her clinical knowledge by presenting continuing education courses and hands-on workshops to fellow rehabilitation professionals.
Ophelia believes effective care begins with listening and treating the whole person—not simply the symptoms. She considers each client’s physical concerns, lifestyle, stress, emotional well-being, and personal goals when developing an individualized treatment approach.
Her specialized training includes the John F. Barnes’ Myofascial Release Approach®, a gentle, hands-on method used to address fascial restrictions that may contribute to pain, tightness, and limited mobility. Sessions may also incorporate therapeutic movement, relaxation, body awareness, and education to support comfortable movement, symptom regulation, and greater awareness of the body.
Each client receives private, one-on-one care in a calm and supportive environment. Ophelia’s goal is for clients to feel heard and respected while helping them improve comfort, movement, confidence, and their ability to participate in the activities that are meaningful to them.
Outside of her practice, Ophelia enjoys fitness, yoga, Qigong, painting, reading, and attending wellness and spiritual retreats. Her own interest in movement, mindfulness, and lifelong learning complements the whole-person philosophy at the heart of Wholistic Occupational Therapy.
Experience care that sees and supports the whole person.

Myofascial Release Approach is where the therapist applies gentle, sustained pressure for 5mins or more into the fascial system, creating what the patient reports as a feeling of good pain or a good stretch.
Release of the pressure of the fascial system around the muscles, nerves, blood vessels and the osseous structures creates a free mobile environment of these pain-sensitive structures, producing consistent results in relieving pain and restoring functional mobility.
Another aspect of JFB MFR is the sophisticated facilitation techniques called Myofascial Unwinding. The fascial system is a piezoelectric tissue, so when the therapist applies gentle sustained pressure into the fascial system through compression, traction or twisting the fascial system or moving a particular body part, it creates a flow of the body’s bioenergy, releasing fascial restrictions and pain. Wholistic Occupational Therapy looks beyond the area that hurts to consider the whole person. While traditional rehabilitation may focus primarily on restoring strength, mobility, or a specific physical limitation, Wholistic OT considers how the body, mind, nervous system, daily activities, stress, habits, and life experiences may all influence how you feel and function.
Treatment may combine skilled occupational therapy, myofascial release, therapeutic movement, body awareness, relaxation and nervous-system regulation, and individualized education to address restrictions while helping you return to the activities that are meaningful to you. This whole-person approach is consistent with occupational therapy's broader focus on physical, psychological, environmental, and personal factors that influence function and participation.
Unlike massage, the goal is not simply relaxation or working on tight muscles. And unlike a treatment approach centered primarily on a particular joint, muscle, or movement impairment, Wholistic OT connects hands-on treatment with function—how you move, work, sleep, manage stress, care for yourself, and participate in everyday life.
Simply put: we don't just treat the painful area—we consider the whole person and help you move toward greater comfort, function, awareness, and well-being; improving your overall quality of life.
